International Flights

Ben-Gurion International Airport is Israel’s main international airport located 18 km (~11 miles) southeast of Tel Aviv.

Most flights to/from Israel arrive/depart via Ben Gurion Airport located about one third of the way from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. The airport which has won numerous awards serves flights to North America, Europe, the Far East, Southern Asia, the Middle East and Africa operated by many major international airlines and low-cost airlines. The largest carriers at Ben Gurion Airport with flights to Israel include Israeli national airline El Al, EasyJet, Turkish Airlines, Lufthansa, Wizz Air, Delta, and United. For more information see the full list of flights to Tel Aviv. In addition, the newly opened Ramon Airport, in Eilat serves low-cost flights from Europe as well as domestic flights. Flights from Ramon Airport to Tel Aviv (Ben-Gurion Airport) are operated by the Israeli carriers Israir and Arkia (flight duration: approx. 50 minutes).

Transportation from/to Ben Gurion International Airport is available as follows:
1. Pre-reserved arrival/departure airport transfers operated by Diesenhaus-Unitours (the JCCC Secretariat)
This is a shared direct transfer service from the airport to your hotel in Tel-Aviv and/or return, offered to meeting participants. Possible wait – up to 1 hour for arrival transfers. A Diesenhaus Unitours representative will meet you upon arrival inside the Arrivals Hall, after you go through passport control. He will be holding a sign “JCCC”.
Arrival and departure transfers should be reserved on the Meeting Registration & Accommodation Form. Full arrival/departure details must be provided in advance.
Price: US$27 per person per transfer (arrival or departure).

2. Taxis
Taxis are freely available outside the airport terminal. Fares to Tel-Aviv
are approx. $44. A 25% surcharge for night trips is in effect from 21:01 until 05:29 and from 14:00 on Fridays.

3. Train from the airport – to Tel-Aviv (NIS 18 = ~$5).
The train station is located on Level S (the lowest floor) and can be accessed from Greeters Hall via elevators, escalators, or stairs. Tickets may be purchased from automatic machines located on Level G.
Get off at the Tel-Aviv Center (Savidor-Arlozorov) Station.
Take a taxi to your hotel (approx. NIS 40 = ~$10).
Taxis are available at the exit of the train station.

Public Transportation
Public transportation (trains & busses) in Israel do not operate from Friday afternoon (one hour before sundown) until Saturday evening (one hour after sunset).
